Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to the questions we're asked most often before a yacht photo and video shoot.
For any question more specific to your project, contact us directly: we usually reply within 24 hours.

How does a photo and video shoot work?

Every project starts with careful preparation: filming location, necessary providers (decoration, helicopter, chase boat), model casting and dress code, schedule agreed with you and/or the skipper.
When we arrive on board, we take the time to grasp its spirit before starting to shoot.
Post-production follows: rough cuts and colour grading for video, developing and retouching for photography — with validation of your selections at each stage. See the details of our method.

How long does a shoot last?

The minimum length of an assignment is one full day. A half day can be added on top of a full day, but not on its own.
For a day of filming, allow on average a day and a half of pre/post-production, already included in our pricing.
The time needed to shoot will be estimated based on your specific request and the number of areas (cabins, bathrooms, etc.) to be photographed. A plan of the boat will be needed to correctly assess the time required for your shoot.

Where do you work?

We regularly work in the eastern and western Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Florida, and worldwide.
Our approach always adapts to each client's expectations and specific needs, wherever the boat is located.

What is the rate for a photo or video shoot?

Our services are quoted on a personalised basis: we never commit any cost without your prior agreement.
The rate mainly depends on the length of the assignment, the location, and the resources used (helicopter, drone, chase boat, models).
Travel time is not billed, and image usage rights are included, as defined in the quote.

What happens in case of bad weather?

We take local specifics into account, including weather, from the preparation stage onwards.
In case of genuinely unfavourable conditions on the day, we discuss with you to adjust the schedule as best as possible, within the availability of the boat and crew.
Any day cancelled (no filming possible) due to weather conditions will be charged at 50 % (« Weather day »).

Cancellation:

  • Any day definitively cancelled less than 24 hours before the start of the service will be charged at 75 %, plus any costs already incurred.
  • Any day definitively cancelled less than 48 hours before the start of the service will be charged at 50 %, plus any costs already incurred.

Do you use a drone or a helicopter for aerial shots?

We offer both, depending on your needs.
The helicopter allows for truly professional work, with great framing freedom and efficient coordination between photo and video: it is our preferred solution.
The drone offers great flexibility once flight authorisations are obtained, but with less precise framing. We have an experienced drone pilot within our team.
Contrary to popular belief, the cost of both options remains fairly similar. More details on our Technic page.

Who takes care of models and staging?

We offer a model casting and a suitable dress code from the preparation stage onwards, and we help you find the necessary providers.
Our staging stays natural and inspiring, designed to immediately make people want to step aboard.

What is your process for selecting video footage and photographs, and how do you deliver the final files?

Upon our return, as quickly as possible, we prepare an initial selection. For a day of filming, allow for roughly a day and a half of post-production.
We then send you two private, secure links:

  • One dedicated to video footage;
  • One dedicated to photographs, organised into galleries by theme or subject.

We developed this exclusive process ourselves, the result of many years of experience.
These online galleries show you an extensive selection of colour-graded video footage and photographs. You can view, select and, if needed, comment individually on each shot or image to let us know your preferences or requests for adjustment.
