They wrote it!

We have a long-standing experience in photo and video shooting of yachts from 35 to 145 feet, built over 25 years of sailing in the Western and Eastern Mediterranean as well as in the Caribbean.
Some of our clients — shipyards, charter agencies, naval or interior architects, among the most renowned — have remained loyal since the very beginning of our activity.
To them, as well as to our most recent customers, we express our deepest gratitude: for their renewed enthusiasm, their trust, and sometimes even the friendship they have kindly shown us.
What greater reward than the words we receive after a shoot?

Here are a few excerpts…

In three words: Professionalism – Competence – Efficiency!
Nicolas and Romain Claris photographed and filmed the yachts we managed, to our complete satisfaction. Their "vision" or "artist's eye", their understanding of needs, their availability, the evolution of their equipment — always at the cutting edge — make them outstanding professionals with whom it is easy to work. Our professional relationship has lasted several decades and benefited from their constant adaptability. A big thank you for the beautiful photos and films that helped boost the cruise sales of all those yachts!

It's always a pleasure to work with Nicolas and Romain Claris, who work tirelessly from dawn to dusk, always in search of the perfect angle, light and moment. They listen and also suggest other ideas to make the most of their time on board. When an owner asks me for a recommendation, I give only their names, because they always deliver.

"Working with Nicolas and Romain has been a truly enriching experience. Their collaborative approach makes every project enjoyable, and I've learned a great deal from working alongside them within the shooting process. As the Interior Designer, I especially appreciated being listened to, in order to ensure the project was captured in the best possible way. Their ability to translate the design vision into beautiful imagery is exceptional, and the final results speak for themselves."

It's always a pleasure working with Nicolas Claris and Romain Claris: stunning images, genuine sensitivity for yachting, and great energy at every shoot. They know how to capture the right angles, the right light, and create an atmosphere that makes you want to come on board. They are among the talents I love to collaborate with.
Looking forward to the next one!

Until my departure in 2019, I consistently entrusted the production of images for all custom one-off monohulls and series from 60 to 117 feet built by CNB (Construction Navale Bordeaux) to Nicolas Claris for photography since 2000 and to Romain Claris since 2005 for video.
Their sensitive eye, their artistic exigency and their perfect understanding of the nautical world give each yacht a unique and timeless visual personality.
Always present with enthusiasm, reliability and creativity, Nicolas Claris and Romain Claris are precious partners who know how to magnify, in images, the elegance and performance of the shipyard's achievements.

The perception of a catamaran for sale, whether new or second-hand, depends on the quality of the images dedicated to it. CLARIS' is recognised in the market; the exigency and work of Nicolas Claris and Romain Claris guarantee, for each project, remarkable results.
Bravo!

To look and to see. The photographer is something of a magician who reveals to us what they have seen and what would escape our own gaze. To be in search of beauty in moments, light, forms. Sculptor or painter, the emotion is complete because they have reality to offer us a raw emotion with which I feel in total complicity.

I met Nicolas and Romain Claris for the first time at the Cannes International Boat Show… I can only recommend Nicolas and Romain if you have superb images to be made.

I regularly have the opportunity to collaborate with Nicolas, whose expertise and creativity strengthen the premium positioning of our clients and bring a singular signature to varied worlds such as engine manufacturers, shipyards or brokers. At his side, Romain, a director who elevates each script through his rigorous guidance, and Marine, whose experience in communication and graphic design allows her to precisely grasp clients' expectations, form a trustworthy and talented team that we recommend without reservation.
One of the rare trios to offer such a complete service: I can only recommend them.

The talent of a photographer or videographer lies in their ability to reveal what we do not see at first glance. Making an object beautiful and desirable is not within everyone's reach, even when it is a boat…
In over 20 years of collaboration with Nicolas and Romain Claris, I have often caught myself rediscovering, on computer screens or on the glossy pages of my magazines, boats I thought I knew by heart.

You did an incredible job during the Lagoon 630 Motor Yacht shoot. These images are among the best I have worked with for Yachting magazine. The only problem is the difficulty of making a selection — knowing there are hundreds of beautiful images to use, but limited space for only a few.
What an excellent job you did, Nicolas. You really pulled it off. A big thank you for the fantastic work, and a well-executed production.
The cover image is perhaps the most elegant we have published.

A big bravo for your photos, some are breathtaking!!
Never seen anything like it before!
You took photos of the hotel and its architectural side that are simply superb!!
The selection is so rich!!
Beyond the very high technical quality of Nicolas and Romain Claris's work, what we appreciate above all is the way they take ownership of our requests, with a real ability to adapt to the subjects at hand, understanding our DNA, in order to create photos and films perfectly in tune with our needs. Working with them is a real pleasure.

I love photography, I love skies that speak and objects that bear witness, and so I love the work — or should I say the passions — of Nicolas Claris. For just as Walter Gropius, the founder of the Bauhaus, proclaimed that the designer's mission is to breathe a soul into the product, the photographer's is to sublimate an object, a moment, a tension — life caught in the act, in short, life itself.
What pleases me most particularly is that through the images one senses a quest for freshness, for spontaneity, and not a pursuit of the perfect balance that so often borders on boredom, but rather the right imbalance — for the right imbalance is the difference between the static and the living.
I love photography when it offers me several levels of reading — what is called in medical science a delay — and one thus learns to savour slowly, to take care to pay attention, in order to discover what one had not yet seen… but which is indeed there.

I looked at all the photos, and I really think we did a great job, that you did a great job, that there are great images, that the light is beautiful. With Thomas we're on the same page about the angles we love; overall there's really lovely material, whether for the interiors or the cruising images — we truly have everything we need to make a very fine brochure and a very good image bank. There you go, your photos are really very lovely, Thank you!

The overall brightness inside the boat is something we care a great deal about; it's astonishing how this natural light comes inside — the result is incredible.
Generally, and for everything else, we let you work as you see fit: we know we are in very good hands!

Space, comfort, sobriety, timelessness, personalisation — the interior architecture of the Bordeaux 60 offers a harmonious living space filled with serenity. But how can these sensations be conveyed to those who cannot come on board, if not through quality visuals, precise lighting and exceptional definition?

Nicolas Claris & Romain Claris, a singular complicity: one photographs, the other films; then one gently sculpts his images while the other assembles them with expert craftsmanship.
These two share the same mission, the same passion, the same madness, the same ambition, the same devotion, and if they have elevated their technical knowledge to the highest level of the profession, it is to better know how to set it aside and give everything to the forms that present themselves before their artist's eyes.
There was Lennon/McCartney in music, Germán & Mani Frers, Van Peteghem/Lauriot Prevost in naval architecture, and there is Nicolas Claris & Romain Claris for the image; this exceptional complementarity has not yet finished surprising us…
