Equipment

Even when taking the greatest care of our equipment, all devices and cameras can face technical issues in the field... For this reason, we always carry a second camera body with us, so that no shot is ever compromised by a technical problem.
Each session is secured by a double backup every evening so that there is no risk of image loss.

Photography

Shooting with a Fujifilm medium format camera body: 102 effective megapixels, with a large 43.8 × 32.8 mm CMOS image sensor, an imaging area about 1.7 times larger than a 35 mm full-frame (Canon, Nikon...) for its ability to deliver incredible image quality in terms of color, dynamic range, and tonal rendering.

Technical advantages

The level of sharpness and the atmosphere of the scene are higher. Depth of field is fully controlled, blur effects can be freely managed. The number of pixels is an absolute advantage for photographing subjects. Fine and smooth gradients. Beautiful blur effects and a rich three-dimensional feel. Many possibilities to find images within the image thanks to the huge sensor resolution.

For our video productions, we use professional equipment that ensures exceptional image quality and great flexibility at sea and in helicopters.

Technical advantages

Using the professional Sony 4K camera and Sony E lens provides the best video images. When quality is critical, the FS5’s Super 35 Exmor sensor records at 100 Mbps in 4K (3840 x 2160). The FS5 features a radically new design for unmatched shooting on the move in the most demanding conditions. Weighing less than half the FS7 (0.8 kg), it can be used to film almost anywhere. Handheld operation is simply outstanding.

Drone or helicopter for aerial shots?

We propose both options depending on the needs of the project.

The helicopter allows for true professional work. It offers full freedom in framing, optimal image quality thanks to a variety of lenses, and efficient coordination between photo and video.

The drone, once flight authorizations are obtained, the drone offers great flexibility of use — with quick take-offs at every suitable moment — but also comes with certain limitations: less precise framing, files less suited to large enlargements, and an additional constraint for the crew, who must remain out of frame during the shots.
